Bertha's ready for painting!
For the past month we have been working on restoring Bertha (our trailer) and thanks to Jack's mechanics and Brian Jr from Middlesex Truck & Coach we have restored the brakes and hitch mechanism and built additional racks. We're trying to do this without spending the club's money and to date we've been fortunate to recieve gifts of time and materials so our total cost to date is $182. Now comes the final challenge, to get Bertha looking good, as a true Rock N Row trailer should!
Bob DePippo of The Stingray Shop in Marblehead...henceforth the official body shop of Rock n Row (when you need your car fixed) has graciously offered to help us by supplying all tools, materials, supplies and direction for preparation and painting. We need to provide the labor. We are hoping for 10 volunteers for a Saturday in April to sand, prime and paint this work of rowing rolling art. Jean has already selected colors!
