IT WAS A FINE DAY FOR A SUNDAY ROW

Seven "peaceful warriors" turned out for a wonderful row this past Sunday. From left to right were Emily, Jean, Eileen, Jack, Nan (guest rower of Jean's) and Dee. Missing from the picture was Chris Leake, who insisted that I be the token male among these crazy ladies. (and an honor it was.)

Over all trip was something slightly under 7 miles. A journey that started us up pass Childrens, a sweeping down wind ride to Eagles provided by some "cute" southern rollers. We then headed back into the bay to Great Haste in search of calmer seas, turn the corner and slogged back to the basin on 180 degree bearing. Special Kudos to our guest rower Nan in her "Little River" sculls. I think she gets the reward for rowing the longest distance between two points. Clearly, a compass would be a nice addtion to her boat.

So where was John H, the resident Viking is all of this?? I'm told from a first hand source that he was too tired from his Saturday 10+ mile row to come out and play on Sunday. He was missed.
